“Jesus Christ was a community organizer: Pontius Pilate was a governor. Thats all I have to say about that.” when asked by Entertainment tonight about the 2008 election.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? I don’t know if I am more offended that she thinks Barack Obama is worthy of comparison to Jesus, or that she is comparing the McCain/Palin campaign to the most infamous of bible characters.
Lets say its an accurate description…. Pontius Pilate isn’t that bad a guy. If you are well read of the Bible you will recall Pontius Pilate didn’t want to administer the Death penalty. He says “” I find no basis for a charge against this man… I will punish him and realease him…” The crowds insisted. Luke says : Wanting to release Jesus, Pilate appealed to them again. (all from Luke 23) The other gospels you will find conifer with this story. Matthew 27 says “I am innocent of this man’s blood, It is your responsibility” John says in Ch. 19.. Pilate said, ” Don’t you realize I have the power either to free you or to crucify you.” Jesus answered, “you would have no power over me had it not been given to you from above. There for the one who handed me over to you is guilty”.
Lets start by saying, do I think Pilate is a hero? No. Do I think he Exhausted his power in preventing the death of Jesus? No, but It was not God’s will that Pilate stay his execution. I think Pilate suffers through history with a bad rap… the man who “killed” Jesus… Not accurate sorry.
I think much is to be admired of a man who does his job against his own personal beliefs in many cases. One should not disregard the beliefs of a man, but Pilate was acting in regard to the welfare of the community.
Sorry Susan Sarandon, but your argument is rediculous and extreemly week at best.

The internet here sucks! It only works half the time and the other half it is super slow! I can’t upload, download, or watch movies/tv. ugh…
Ivy Tech-
Screwed me again! I took PreCalc Algebra/Trig at Ivytech. I thought It would transfer as a Pre-Rec for my current course at Andrews. It didn’t automatically. I talked to the director of the Math Department at Andrews. He said… “looks like that should work” and signed my form. Well now the are saying it dosen’t. Which means I have to take a Math Placement Exam before I can take math here at Andrews. Ugh. And its all because Ivy Tech had their own book compiled for the class. Acording to Andrews that makes it “non transferable”.
