So my Gateway went belly-up on me this weekend. I had been in the market to make the ever important step from PC user, to Mac user. Well right in the middle of an assignment my PC stopped working. Nothing. No power, Crashed Hard Drive, etc…So I went to the Apple Store in Cambridge today and bought myself a 17inch Mac Book Pro. I am so happy right now… of course playing with my new computer is getting in the way of doing my home work, but… who really cares.?I have this big blog I want to write, but I just don’t have the time now. Check back on Thursday I am going to a compete tech re-haul of all my sites. Should be complete by then.Luv y’all

So in planning a wedding I am absolutely disgusted at the cost of wedding photography. So many photographers are just average, and charge crazy prices. Maybe I am picky, after all being a photographer myself I have a bit more of a discerning eye then some. But come on people. If you don’t have a MFA in photography you have no biz charging $8000.
So I have decided I am going to get into the Wedding Photography biz. But I am taking a different approach. Lets face it… I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY… and any opportunity for new subject matter is great. So I want to offer low cost photography to people with low budgets. Of course I have to pay for upkeep on my equipment, and printing, ect…
For example :: if your total wedding budget is $5000. 20% of that is A LOT for photography. But good luck finding a photographer for less than $1000. So what if there were someone who could shoot the wedding for $100? or $200? I think photography is one of the most important parts of your wedding day, and my heart aches for the people who can’t afford it.
So as it stands right now… I haven’t ever shot a wedding, or helped shoot a wedding. But I would love the opportunity. So if any of my bride friends know someone getting married who wants free wedding photography send them my way.

I want to write a book. Well not write, but photograph. I have this book called “armed America”. Its a photo-journalistic account of the 2nd amendment. ( http://www.kylecassidy.com ) Its one of my favorite books. I want to do that kind of thing. But I need an idea? Something unique. I originally wanted to turn my quest to hit all 50 states into a book. But it seems so boring. Let me know if y’all have any good ideas.I am going to start designing furniture as well. And building it of course. So look for a link to come soon on my website.Which I am updating by the way.Just an note to add… I never would have thought that the author of the book I mentioned before “Armed America” would have found this blog and commented on it. So I find out today that Ivy Tech HAS STILL NOT SENT OUT MY TRANSCRIPT TO THE COLLEGES I APPLIED TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sent them the request on Feb 6th!
I am pissed, the Transcript getting there is just a formality. I had a 4.0 at Ivy Tech and I have a 3.8 here at the BAC. Provided there is space available, I should get into all the schools I applied for.
Well:: The Univ. of Mich and the Univ. of Tenn both had paper work deadlines of March 15. SO thanks to Ivy Techs fuck up I can no longer be offered admission for the Fall semester at these to schools.
IIT- my number one choice, my favorite, the one in Chicago that I most want to go to ONLY HAS 4 SPOTS LEFT!? When I talked to the guy I explained what happened. He said he can hold a spot for me until Friday. But after that the spots may fill up in the next week. So If Ivy Tech doesn’t get that transcript to them on Friday I may not get in…. Stupid f*&^&%g, G*#, D^$%, H#%%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so mad right now. Do they not realize this is someones life they are messing with? I don’t know why I ever went there in the first place. I didn’t have too. I could have gone to any university in the country and I went there for a year. THEY RUINED MY LIFE!! and I am mad.

I often post on a wedding planning board called the Knot. (www.theknot.com) Well I have gotten to know a lot of other girls planning on getting married in December 2008. I have been posting there for over a year and a half, and really do trust the advice of most of these girls.
The other day I posted about how I wanted to post pone the wedding. Looking for advice from the girls I trust about it. Well I happened to mention how if Stephen ‘could’ get a large signing bonus and 1/2 that would really go along way in helping pay for the wedding.
Well some girl chimes in… Someone I don’t really know, and doesn’t post much. Apparently she is an “expert” in deployments. And she says that Stephen shouldn’t take the higher bonus if offered because if he takes a smaller bonus he will be “safer” and “not” deployed….
UM HELLO!!! anyone with half a brain about the Army knows even if you get no signing bonus at all, you are probably going to be deployed…. I just hate it when stupid people try to be “smart”. It annoys me. And everyone just took her word for it, and the rest of the responses insinuated that I was “selling” my Fiancee for money… like that was the only reason I wanted he to join, or he wanted to join.
Ugh. I know its a public board and anyone can say what ever they want, but it just irks me.

Stephen and I have decided to postpone the wedding. There is so much going on this year. Screw year, its all happening in 6 months. June – December. Lets see.

We are both leaving our jobs in 3 months.

We are both moving from Boston to Indy in 3 months.

I start a new school in the fall.

That means I will be moving

Stephen is joining the Army.

He will be gone in training for 6 -7 months.
And then 2009 will be here. Its just way to much to deal with right now. We want a great wedding, with everyone there, and time to enjoy it. This year is just one thing after the other. Come December Stephen would get back from training, we would get married, and I would be off to school, and him to his first post all in the matter of a week. That’s just not going to work well.
Keep December 27, 2008 in the back of your mind, after all, if all the cards are in our favor it may still happen then. I just don’t see it.
Maybe if I weren’t in school I would have time to plan a wedding and put everything together. But it is stupid not to go to college, and to take a year off would kill me, so the wedding is going to have to take a back seat for now.

Spring Break is almost over. That means 8 more weeks of classes at the BAC! I am so glad to be rid of this chapter of my life. I will miss my friends, but there is just too much dicking around with the education here. I am not learning much, and I don’t see it helping me achieve my goals.
Still waiting on letters from 4 schools before I make my decision.
